Going back to the basic argument...how have the wiretaps taken away any of my freedoms? Or any of anyone's freedoms?
*sigh* The US government has affirmed out-of-country prisons in operation. It has also been extremely iffy on the subject of torture. It could also be argued that holding people in secret prisons without trial is a form of torture. Granted, the government has not come right out and said that they torture people. Do yuo expect them to?

On the subject of wiretaps...I am confused how people do not get offended by wiretaps or call databases. AM I the only one that does not like to have the government looking over my shoulder? Not to mention, one thing usually leads to another in these cases. First, call databases...then wiretaps...then reading emails...then keeping track of websites visited...et cetra.

It is scary to think of what might become of this...and honestly, I do not want to find out. I will NOT take any chances with my rights.
