You claim that the war for our freedom (the war against terror) is about protecting our freedom, while at the same time you suggest taking them away. Do you not see how hypocritical your arguement is?
This is disgusting. You hide under your American flag claiming the US has moral superiority over other nations. You condemn Saddam for torturing, yet you are all for the US being able to torture. As much as I love the US, we are not so great as to hold double-standards.
I know this is a tough one but go back an read my post. Obviously you did not because NOWHERE do I ever condone or sanction torture.
And I am glad you have exposed your defeatest attitude. If all liberals hold your beliefs then we are in serious trouble should Democrats be put back in charge of national security.
This war is clearly winable. Can it be done overnight? No, but I am not expecting it to. But with the right combination of force and diplomacy we can win. Iraq was the model of what to do in order to face the wrath of the US militray, Libya is the model of what to do when cooperating. Because Libya has worked with us, renounced terrorism, paid reparations to the families of past terror attacks, and stopped supporting terrorist groups they are now taken off the US list of state sponsors of terror. We are also on the way to normalizing relations with them.
Lets see if Iran wants the carrot or the stick.
