The difference between the 2 types is, in my experience, pretty noticable.

The straight shifter will actually move the shift knob forward an inch or 2. If you like hitting your knuckles on your radio buttons then go for it.

The factory bend shifter will keep the knob in the same place but it would be shorter about an inch.
