SITUATION

I have been running things thru that lump on my neck some would call a brain to see about starting a local car club. It probably would be less of a club and more like a group of guys getting together, renting out a garage and fixing up and working on their cars.

I have a friend whose father owns such a garage in Jersey City right outside the Holland Tunnel, which happens to be empty and he is looking to rent. Total space availible is something like 1200 square feet and we can fit 5 or so cars inside and others outside - during the day of course.

There is a compressor, jacks, stands and other equipment we are able to use and a variety of car shops around if we run into problems with our projects.

I need to know if anyone from honda-acura interested, who may be partially interested, or who is definitely kick-ass interested in doing this. I have a few guys from G2IC on-board now and I need a few more definites who are willing to pay about $75 / month each for unlimited use. Storage of vehicles for engine swaps and other things can be arranged and will be about $100 a month. This is in no way a money maker for anyone. We are trying to pool together our resources and knowledge and do some sweet sh_t to our cars. Any extra money for the club will go to tools, machinery, detailing stuff, etc.

I'm thinking that maybe if we have a situation with "part-time" members, we can work something out and if you have one car and two guys, you can join as one. Who knows the possibilities are endless and this is our gig.

There is a wealth of knowledge and need for this sort of thing, we just have to bring it together and give it a name.
