I would not worry too much about the valve springs and the noise. I am pretty confident that you did everything right so it cannot be messed up. The noice your hearing is most likely due to 1 of 3 things. They are like way newer than what you had in there so they may need to break in a little. Or two, Type R springs are wound just a bit in difference for the higher lift cams they support and this is the noise that it yields. Or 3 you may be hearing the valves not the springs, in case they were not adjuested correctly, but you've done that a million times over so I doubt it is 3, but just in case...
