sure...but to stay fair...let's also look at the Toyota forums...celica gt and mr2 spyders have an engineering defect where they lose compression as the piston rings wear out prematurely (typically by 40k miles)...Toyota has not once recalled this problem even though it's an admitted engineering defective design
3 million Camry's and other Toyota's have the engine sludge defect and Toyota has not given a recall or extended the warranty...in fact the proper recall would be a redesigned head to compensate for the higher engine running temperatures
you say Honda dropped the ball on the transmissions by allowing past due warranty work, working a slight recall then extending the warranty - then Toyota has as serious a problem and does little to nothing...now that's the pot calling the kettle black!
