The oil pickup and oil pan from a GSR is needed if you are running a girdle. It fits between the oil pan and girdle/windage tray assembly.

The LS crank will be fine. It has extra displacement that would be lost if a GSR crank was to replace it. Just replace the rod bolts with ARP studs and it should be plenty reliable up to 8k.
