I am planning an ls/vtec build, but want to be sure I'm going to make the bottom end strong.

I'm planning a 5 main girdle and I know I need a GSR oil pan, but I read I need a pick up, as well. Can anyone tell me where this thing is, positionally, in the block? Between the girdle and the pan?

Also, I read that the ls crank is poorly balanced. Can I just toss a gsr crank in there, or are there some other bits I need to do that?
