While I was in school, getting packages was fine. If I was out of my apartment, the delivery guy would leave it with the girl in the office in the lobby, and when I got back from class I'd pick it up.

Then, the building got bought by another management company, and they couldn't manage to keep the office staffed full time because this new company is a bunch of cheap bastards. It was a pain in the ass picking up a package if it got dropped in the office because the chick was never around.

Then, the new owners tore out the lobby and the office, and there was no office. It's since been re-opened but it doesn't matter cuz I'm at my office during the hours that the building office is open. I just have stuff shipped to my office because the delivery companies don't pull tht BS about they might deliver after 5 if it's going to a business...the trucks pretty much come at the same time every day.

If only they didn't have all these stupid rules about leaving packages in secure locations, and what constitutes a secure location, they could just leave packages in the hallway outside my door. But noooo, according to FedEx, UPS and everyone else, "a common hallway is not a secure location for a package to be left in."
