Well I've looked this up a bunch but i get random responses in bits all over the place. SO, i just need to know some things.
I have a 00' Civic Si with a B16A2 OR B18C1 (still deciding the swap but for this question it shouldnt matter due to the identical engine blocks) and was wondering some info on a BOOSTED B with ITB's.
What is a super-rough guesstimate on the price, starting from the engine stock to boosted with an ITB setup alone cost. I have plenty of money for this, and want a semi-sleeper EK with good boost and high throttle response.
Also, would this create a significant increase in power, I'm looking for a good 300-320 horses roughly, while keeping it at an impressive acceleration rate. And how is this acieved, aren't the throttle bodies all open? I don't understand how you can force air into an open pipe, unless it is mounted directly to the TB's?
Lastly, does anyone have any images of this setup, even on ANY engine as I'm curious about going down the
"Slight-NA, Boosted, ITB, Sleeper" route
*As a side question, how is it that some people claim to get 40+ MPG on a boosted setup?*
