I've been wanting to do the same thing. I just ordered Mortages for Dummies. Got it from Amazon.com I'm going to get into it. More bang for the buck. I hear that most people start off working for someone, then branch off on their own. If you can help it, get with a firm that pays a base salary in addition to the commission.
