Believe me dude, you wouldn't have any problem in an IS250 in Chicago. I drove a Lincoln LS V8 once through a snowstorm with like ~5 inches of snow on the ground and it was really easy with the traction control on. Really slow and probably tore up the brake pads, but really easy.

get some good snow tires and you'll be fine. all sorts of RWD all year cars up here, you can hear them coming from miles away cuz the tires
