Just put the right gas in the tank. There is a 10 cent per gallon difference in price for each grade of fuel.

Here is what you "save" when using 89 octane on a fill up: $1.30

Here is what you "save" when using 87 octane on a fill up: $2.60

I'll never understand why people are worried about "saving" such a small amount when you could possibly damage your car. I'd find other ways to save money. Maybe cut down on the lap dances. Instead of having 5 beers at the bar, have only 4. Instead of taking her to a fancy restaurant, take her to McDonalds.

"Yeah... I saved a couple bucks in gas, but I'm not getting the mpg like I did before."

"Yeah... I saved a couple bucks in gas, but I blew up the engine."
