you should start by switching to a quality carrier.
i honestly don't really know what cingular is offering anymore now that i don't sell them, but i was impressed by the S-E phones they carried. i personaly would stay away from anything motorola.
after browsing cingular.com, i'd say the LG CU320 looks good. im an LG whore, though.
