Yeah, i had thought of that, but when i picked the car up and drove it home, it ran fine, albeit with a blowing exhaust. It made very good power and idled ok. After i had made the repair to the exhaust a few days later, i fired it up and it ran lumpy. Its not cutting out on the road and i can feel the vtec system is still working ok. The tacho reads fine and theres no check engine light either. Just a bit of a misfire which you can barely hear at higher revs, but that pops a bit at lower revs and won't idle. When i fitted the new parts, the situation improved marginally, as i would have expected.
I'm pretty sure the belt hasn't really had a chance to jump, as apart from the 150 mile journey home, the car hasn't made any other significant trips.
Got to be the dizzy hasn't it....?
