held captive? how so?? and i am trying to explain why that article is not a big deal, and not worth bitching about. It's not like a bunch of black people went to a shopping mall and killed all the whites is it? Trying to explain why it would not be appropriate to write a similar article on black people because of the past, because it is part of their history. it a fucking web article... and lets not pretend that this kind of so called "reverse racism" is now more popular then "traditional racism"
To be honest I don't care about the article itself..it really doesn't affect me in the least.

But let's just say for example that the article had said Ni**er or camel jockey or chink, maybe Wop or Kike even and used continued slam terms further in the article as it had using the words honkey among others. Now if that had been the case what would have happened?

Pretty simple really..The ACLU would have been all over it, the news agencies would have reported it, radio commentators would have a week of new fodder and stories to run with etc.

But since it's talking about white people it is inconsequential and not a bad thing.

This is called reverse racism (figure that term out) since it is the majority being discriminated on by a minority (minority another term I disagree with). So by saying there is no problem with this article and the terms it uses is in effect saying racism is ok if you are talking about the majority, but if you are discussing a minority or a race that has been wronged in the past then it is wrong and offensive (also known as a double standard).

Basically I should be against whitey as well though the colour of my skin is white (anglo whatever) I am also Irish and my ancestors were in the same camps as the Chinese brought for the railroads, they were barred from work for years and forced to starve and suffer in the US for many years before being considered somewhat equal to others who lived here.
