[spoiler="thoughts on dream state"]as for the whole dream state. i think the lady the girl and the cop were all dead. and the dream state silent hill was the ghosts. cause notice all thsoe people were in the room with the first fire. so thats why the normal people never saw them. cause the cop said "the bodies werent fou8nd" they could have been covering up, and you n3ever saw the jeep in real mode and what it hit. you see the bike crash in the dream state and it looks fucked up. so i think the dream state silent hill was like limbo they were stuck in.[/spoiler]
[spoiler="ending theory"]thats actually what i was thinking too, if you remember when the wife and husband were in the school and passed each other he smelled her perfume which shows that they are in the same time and place but not the same reality. the way i see it is if you paid close attention to the end when the reaper was talking to the wife she said that alessa wanted everyone to see and experience her worst nightmare, which is what silent hill responds to, the ghost silent hill that is. the little burnt babies and pyramid head were just added to follow the game in some way. i guess the mom had died when she got stabbed and the only reason her wound healed was because she was now trapped (dead) in Ghost Silent Hill and the little girl was then rejoined with her darker half (the reaper) after she opened her eyes when her mom told her not to... this is just my $0.02 i could be entriely off
