Default ATL Gas is $3.00 /Gal and rising!

I have a JDM ZC SOHC Vtec - anybody know the compression ratio - and whether or not I HAVE to use premium. These prices are getting a little out of hand - i can't keep spending $50 - $60 a week in gas.

I've heard 9.5:1 - 10:1 etc.. That would mean premium right? If not the car would run in limp mode and give you crappy gas mileage which defeats the purpose of having a 1.6l engine. Not to mention possible detonation if you get a batch of bad gas.

I drive 4-500mi/week - this would really help the budget.

EDIT:
Oh yeah, and please don't tell me it's just the japanese equivalent of the D16Z6 - because it's not the same. It's most likely ZC Jap. spec featuring EFI http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/zc/zcinfo.html But i have no info.
here's a pic:

NEVERMIND I found it and ALL the honda motor codes and hp/tq numbers here. You might want to bookmark this one:

at 9.6:1 I think that i may have to bite the bullet and use premium.
