was doing some searching in the forums and reading that the d16z6 has a stronger rod then the d16y8 and it has a 9.1 compression ratio and the d16y8 has a 9.5 cr would it be better to get a d16z6 block out of the yard and put the y8 head on it cuz the y8 might have spun a bearing making a noise just boosted it and it took a shit kinda strapped for cash so i don't have the money to buy a real motor just wondering if i the compression ratio out of a d16z6 block w/ a y8 head would still be 9.1 to 1 or does it get raised to 9.5 to 1 lk the d16y8 if i would get the z6 motor out of the yard i would put a set of bearings, rings, water pump, timing chain, head gasket, and oil pump just wondering if the z6 block would be better to rebuild for turbo thanks for the info
