Sounds like the light bulb is loose or the circuit board is slightly worn in that area and she's just imagining things. Or Ask her if she's tried jiggling the lever...maybe she's potting it between 3-4 or something. Or maybe Honda didn't adjust the shift linkage correctly, but I doubt it.
