Inside there is a springloaded plunger with a white ring around it. Use your fingernails or a a flat head screwdriver and turn the white ring. The plunger is basically threaded inside of the FITV. It can come out over time. When I removed my FITV the plunger actually fell out because it was completely unthreaded. I'm about 99% sure this is the problem.
:werd: I'd be surprized if this doesn't fix it. If it doesn't, I'd say it's a vaccum leak.
