You're a guy, so automatically the cards are against you. I have a friend who went through hell because of a girl. Got accused of a ton of stuff that he never did, but of course, the courts leaned towards his ex's word. In one instance, she tried to say he did something (pretty serious) that he didn't, but luckily for him, I was present during the situation and had to write out a statement and sign it.

He never laid a hand on her or damaged any of her property. During the course of their relationship and mostly after it was done.. she:

faked a pregnancy
broke into his house and stole his spare alarm remote (she admitted it)
broke into his car and thrashed it (only some papers were taken and his radio was stabbed with a screwdriver)
called his house at all hours
egged his car
showed up to his work trying to start trouble

he would just call the cops after each situation, but they would usually just shrug their shoulders and only one time did a cop file a report about it, so that it was on record.
