they put a lien on the car after like 90 days, if no one cliams the car it belongs to the tow yard....
Alot of tow yards have auctions once a month..
some yards if you pay the tow bill you can have it....
i use to go to the tow yards ,buy cars fix em up and sell them. it was good fast money. but the dmv sent me a nasty letter saying if i keep doing this i needed to get a dealers license.....
