What brand head unit? Did the head unit alrdy come with a fuse it in, make sure its not blown, and make sure there is one, usually located on the head unit next to the wire harness. Did you buy a wire adapter that goes from your factory harness and matches up to your deck. Usually its just color coded and easy. Did you use butt connectors make sure none of your wires are loose.
The one I have now is a Panasonic CQ-C1303U. There is a fuse behind the unit. I haven't checked it but will check and let you all know. Do you know guys where I could actually buy fuses if they are blown out, for ex. Pepboys, Autozone...?
Some headunits are power hungry. I wired a (freebie!) JVC into my Stealth, and whenever I turned the volume over 20% it would keep cutting off, back on, off again, etc. until I turned it back down. It turns out the factory
wiring was too small to keep up with the power demands of the head unit.
Recheck the wiring and fuses, then put a multimeter to the power and ground to make sure you are actually getting power and ground. After that, try running larger (stranded copper) power and ground wires.
The first headunit that I bought was a JVC. I don't remember the exact model. Then I returned it and bought a Sony one.

and Now I have the Panasonic one... I heard that there was a fuse in the car itself for Audio/Clock. Do any of you know where it is...?
About factory wiring, what are you recommending, rewire the whole car...i mean just for the audio...? or...? just add some to where I spilced the wires? I am going to test it out with a multimeter and let you all know the results. The wires that are coming from the new headunit is actually bigger than the one I have coming from the car.
Thank you guys for all your replies!
