Default The CEO of my company is visiting my office tomorrow...

...and I'm not gonna be there. :uhhok:

We have offices in or around Boston, Seattle, Dallas, Phoenix, Hartford CT, Jupiter FL, and here in Madison. Corporate is in Boston. We don't have any VPs who run offices, just one for like Finance, Legal, etc. Chris, the guy who runs my office is considered at the Director level, but he reports to the CEO.

Anyway, a few weeks ago I told Brett, my manager, that tomorrow is the first night of Passover and I'd like to leave a couple hours early so I can go to my grandma's in Chicago for the first seder. Fine by him.

So yesterday, Chris tells everyone that the CEO is coming for a visit, gonna buy us lunch, then have some boring meeting with the whole office in the afternoon for an hour, then take over Chris's office and make some phone calls. Today, change of plans...the trip gets changed around and the CEO is only gonna stop in for like an hour at 4 pm. Which is about an hour after I'll be leaving for Chicago.

On the one hand, it's nice that I don't have to deal with it, but on the other hand the only impression I get to make is in the form of my team lead (also Mike) and Brett talking me up and sayin I'm out of the office cuz I'm busy being jewish.
