I went to Target during my lunch break. I head to checkout, get my items scanned, and hand the cashier girl 2, $3 off coupons. (I got these a while back for some instant gift card with purchase of some item.) Here's what happened ...

me: *hands over coupons*
girl: *scans once*
girl: *scans twice*
girl: *scans three times*
girl: *scans four times*
me: :uhhok:
girl: "your total is 6.xx"
me: "I'm not sure if that's right, it seems a bit low"
girl: :shhh: "don't worry about it"
me: "that works for me, cool ... thanks" :shrug:
girl: "I'll see ya around"
