Dealerships charge more because they offer more services and have greater responsibilities to their customers. Their overhead is also a lot higher. As I sold Hondas for six long months, I resent people accusing dealerships of overcharging their customers. Cars are always cheaper bought from private parties, but it's more of a hassle making appointments to look at the car and then arranging to have a mechanic look at it etc... And the car is still bought "as is". With a good dealership, you have a lot more recourse if the car has issues.

As to the merits of an automatic transmission integra, I would never own any auto tranny car.
You've made a perfectly valid point and kept the thread on topic. I have no problem with your contributions in this thread. Please don't take offense to my earlier..um.. outburst. h:

It's when incidental responses like "that guy's car had a salvage title because of xxx" that are an early warning of a derailed thread.

When people start running with a new topic that is a random tangent to the original topic, the thread usually wanders off in that direction. That's fine in The Basment, but in the car model forums like the Integra, it's not.

People use the search engine in this forum to get straight answers & advice to questions, so the responses have to stay on track and within sight of the original question.

That why the car model forums are more tightly moderated.

But you knew that already.

Carry on... :run:
