True. I think the gist was more to explain the culture of ideas that Honda encourages with it's engineers and designers. Like the changes that come between concept and production, there's still a whole slew of engineers that have to make it production ready, and those guys probably aren't the same as these guys.

As for Type-R, my guess is no one's put together a business plan convincing enough. Even something as obvious as better tires seemed to be a big deal for Honda sales.

Personally, I'd be happy if they brought over the Euro Civic 5-door. (not stripped, please.)
