I went to Universal Technical Institute in Exton, PA

I graduated in July 05 and now i am currently in the BMW STEP program. Im gonna start working for a dealer in june.

The school is as good as u make it. If u know alot of stuff about cars then the classes are going 2 be like a refresher course but u will learn different systems.

The Hot Rod program is ok it is only 3 courses long which means 9 weeks and depends on the teachers and the cars you have to learn on. I was the first class to go through the program in that campus and it sucked kuz everything was "in the mail". It might have changed.

If you are serious about making it a career then it is worthwhile if you try hard so u can get into the Factory training. If you want 2 learn just performance then there are different schools that teach you how to imporve performance that are cheaper and you focus only on performance and not maintnence.

that is where the problem is, there is not much money in the performance business unless u get into a big company. working for dealers you will almost always be supplied w/ work b/c of warrenty issues and the like.

just some food for thought, do some thinking if you just want 2 learn performance or make cars ur career. it will make a big difference what school you choose.
