no its not... but the GSR does have a bit more cheaper/potential than the R. the GSR is not a Type R, about the only the same on both engines is the block which is the same casting. other than that, everything else is different. IMO its stupid to turn a GSR into a type R, with the amount of money you spend coverting, the Head, Manifold, Trans, Crank, etc... U might as well have bought one.

LS/VTEC was my original plan, but the shell for the project was stolen...some guys drove through my garage door, and towed a ROLLING SHELL...still even had the steelies on it...I have a GSR swapped EG hatch now...and the boost can't get here soon enough!!!!
ive never built an engine before and i built a crvtec setup and its exactly the same thing:thinking:all i did was looked up the info *tons online* if i had trouble asked around the net/local shops, and a couple of weeks later i did it. everything is setup for you already, oil lines, rod bolts, head studs, etc...I say u give it a shot, u dont learn a thing unless u try it....
EDIT: when i say everything is setup, i meant everything can be bought for u already to have that setup
