Basically find yourself a cheap, slow tank that will allow you to make mistakes, be inexpensive to repair and run and above all, truly learn how to drive. You'll undoubtedly fuck up to one degree or another, so I recommend learning on a car that minimizes the physical and fiscal damage. Stay away from SUVs in their entirety.

Then, three or four years on...when you've built a clean driving record and your insurance is reasonable, splurge on a more sporting automobile.
