I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to facilitate the title transfer process with DMV?

My bank just paid off the loan from the person I bought a car from. Now they released the electronic copy of the title to DMV, which will then send a copy of the title to the owner. From DMV's website, this should happen automatically.

I know they have 14 days to do it, but is there any way I can check the status????
