higher octane is only needed to prevent detonation in forced induction vehicles as well as vehicles with higher compression ratios to prevent pinging in the engine.
just stick with 87octane
@.30 a gal extra your tank would cost around 4.20 more to tank up(thats a 14gal tank)
if you get around 380miles to 14 gal then its around 27.1miles per gallon
even if you got 400miles to 14 gal then it would average 28.6miles per gallon
and you would still be paying more i would rather save that 4.20 per tank and end up getting a free tank of gas after 6 fill ups than just getting an extra 120miles
