:werd: I bet Honda touches or surpasses the 10k rev mark. I've heard and been told from Honda people in OH that this car is supposed to be every bit as groundbreaking and stunning as the original NSX was. I'd guess at a 4.0-4.5L V10 redlining at 9.5-11K. Mid engined, carbon fiber shell, 3000-3200lb curb weight.

I don't really get F1 though...

5.6 Variable geometry systems:
5.6.1 Variable geometry inlet systems are not permitted.
5.6.2 Variable geometry exhaust systems are not permitted.
5.6.3 Variable valve timing and variable valve lift systems are not permitted.

why do they disallow these things? It would seem like the perfect testing/proving ground for real world apps.
