It's not that hard to maintain a turbo if you do it properly at the right times and install it correctly.
It is for Johnny ricer who keeps it at 4000RPM all day to get a quick spool and craps the thrust bearing out on the turbo or cracks manifolds, fouls injectors and blows headgaksets because they think these things are bulletproof.
Just do your homework, get a good tune, quality shit, tuning time and sufficient fuel/spark/cooling and life is good.
