Toyota prices limited-production Scion tC at $18,800

Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. will price its limited-production Scion tC Release Series 2.0 at $18,800, including shipping charges, when it arrives in showrooms in mid-April.

Toyota is building 2,600 units. The car costs $1,960 more than a base Scion tC.

The Release Series comes with a stainless steel mesh front grille and 17-inch alloy wheels. The car also comes with standard front-seat-mounted side airbags and front and rear side curtain airbags, which are a factory option on the regular version of the tC.

The interior has seats trimmed with a suedelike material often found in luxury and racing vehicles. It also comes with an XM Satellite Radio receiver and a three-month subscription.

The price includes a $540 shipping charge.
