I'll be honest in saying I don't know that much about F/I, but I will help where I can...
Most people with small engines lean towards turbo because they are of most benefit on small engines. They obstruct exhaust flow, but not enough to bother these tiny four-bangers. On a bigger engine, a super-charger tends to be the best option, because there is enough extra power sitting on the belts, and getting in the way of the exhaust flow has a more detrimental effect.
Turbo's also tend to be cheaper, and they can be rougher on the engine with equal boost amounts.
Turbo's do offer a bit more flexibilty, as they are adjustable, and they are only marginally harder to install that an SC.
