Vinatieri went where the guaranteed money was and IMO the Colts overpaid. While he is the most clutch kicker in history and has done a lot for the Patriots in the past this was all about the future. His accuracy during the season has been a little above average and he is no longer able to kick off...unless you like the opposing team starting at their 30 or 35.

When it comes down to it the Patriots did what was right for them and Adam did what was right for him and his family. Sadly the two did not meet. I wish him luck but he is not going to help Indy win the big games.
