My car did that once, I have a 98 coupe 5spd. No shaking or struggle, nothing. Just noticed my brake pedal was wicked firm and my warning lights were on. Hasn't happened since. I think I just hit a solar flare or something and my car's electrical system died for a brief moment . lol.
