ok people, i havent been on for a while and i just read all your posts. ok 98coupeV6, i didnt go with the bypass valve cuz i would have had to cut the pipe to make room for it and i was lazy to do it(yeah i know, lame excuse). so i had that Injen "HydroShield" which protects from rain but obviously not puddles. and like i previously stated, i didnt think that puddle was deep enough.
Ok well this is what i did. i took off the CAI, throttle body, and Intake Manifold cuz all that was full of water. took spark plugs out. slowly cranked it(not manually). got all the water out. put everything back together using new Honda Intake manifold gasket, and throttle body gasket. made my intake into an SRI. new spark plugs. and did the oil change and oil filter change and fuel injector cleaner. also as previously stated, i took everything off on a saturday and put everything back together on a wednesday.
and guess what guys...........drum roll please............the car works...........woot woot. i was so freakin happy to hear that honda engine start. some water came out of the exhaust. i drove it up a steep hill to get all the water out. it felt a little weird at first(maybe cuz of the new spark plugs and the ECU adjusting to the air intake) but now it feels like back to normal.
I guess i have one more question, even though my car works, should i be concerned with rusted internal engine parts? or should i be concerned with anything at all at this point? my cat back exhaust got a little rusted inside. so anywho. post up if you have any suggestions or comments
