I have pulled mine multiple times to install seats, it's just a two lead switch. Airbag light has stayed off the entire time. In fact, it's not in right now because I need to make a wiring extension to fit the Type R seats.
The weight sensor I could perhaps see being a problem, but usually the driver side has no weight sensor.
