Default The Rex may soon be put to rest...

It was a good run, but I think its fate is just about sealed. Ever since I brought it back to NY from Cali it has just become one problem after another. First it was the IACV, than mounting bracket for the pedals cracked so the clutch won't come off of the flywheel. In order to start it I had to bypass the neutral safety switch. Now it has a huge crack in the windshield and it is overheating because the temperature sensor goes bad every 2 months so the fan won't kick on (even though I know it is an easy fix with a paperclip). What irks me the most is that I have about $10,000 invested into the car including the cost of it. Now I probably won't even be able to sell it for more than $3k...

Since I don't have the time or the resources, I brought it to a trusted mech (friend of the fam) to replace the pedal bracket. He has had my car for about a week now and today he told me that he may not be able to fix it. I told him I could leave my car there for another week since I am going to Europe for Spring Break and he said it may involve removing the whole dash to fix it. I don't even want to guess how much this is going to cost me. If I don't fix this problem though, I will only be able to sell it for considerably less...

It runs so well, but everything other than the motor is just falling apart :wtc:
