Let me see some pics of your car... I'm curious. I've seen one other car this color and it was on an EK hatch..
The Clear tubing will not cave in, it is reinforced with threads to keep it from doing that. Also, my catch can is hooked to the PCV valve so it's not under any serious serious vacume. There are certin types of hoses like this, some are for fluids, some arent. These are coolant lines or anything so I doubt the temp is going to get hot enough to melt them.
