there are more tools. there are those plastic reflectors that make a pattern on the paint, so it's easier to see texture. they don't just "pop" dents out from the inside, they gradually massage the metal back to it's original form, so that they don't crack the paint, or stretch the metal. someone experienced can work magic, even over huge dents! and it's worth drilling the small holes, usually there are access holes everywhere anyway, dude's just putting in a couple more. no big deal.
