If the dealer finds out that the engine was over-revved...they won't cover it because their warranty doesn't cover driver's fault! When they take off the head they'll check the pistons for dents to see if you floated your valves, which is due to over-revving. I did that on my GSR and it ended up costing me 1500 at the dealer...might as well have a perfomance shop upgrade the valves and more internals like springs, retainers, etc. instead of going to a dealership. Or you can just tell your friend to take it to your local mechanic. Either way replace all the valves because they come with the kit anyway and get a valve adjustment. Good Luck! :thumbup:
