Well, asside from ruining a $600.00 converter, your car's computer management system sees the problem as well.

Personally, I would have just waited untill your new converter came before I did anything. Now your stock cat is absolutely useless garbage.

You will not pass e-check or any emissions verification with your check engine light on. If you replace the converter with one that is street legal and will not damage the emissions computer (O2 sensors, ECM, etc.), you should have the computer codes reset.

Do not drive it without a cat, unless you are planning on using the car strictly for racing purposes only.
