Yeah, its kind of a *****... most aftermarket speakers have relatively large magnets and require some cutting to make them fit. The plastic basket on the mounting plate can be cut off... just make sure the magnets arent soo huge that the window hits them when it goes down.

To save some hassle, you may want to put 5.25's in the front...

I have 6.5" Boston Rally components up front, but I mounted the woofer with a 1" thick MDF baffle, instead of the plastic piece.
