If I can't fix the intercooler I've got, then everything else has to go... BOV, Intake, FMIC, UICP, LICP, J-pipe, 3.5" GM MAF, throttle body elbow... it was a custom short-route setup with an extruded-tube core, and it was expensive. My whole engine bay and airflow metering setup was built around it so I'm really trying to fix it if I can.
Someday I'll get a manifold and a big external gate because my car boost creeps like crazy. No matter where I set my boost controller, it hits 21 PSI by 6000 RPMs, so my BOV problem could be caused by overspooling my tiny little turbo.
I think the end tanks are currently only 16 gauge aluminum. I'm reconstructing new end tanks from 10 gauge stock. I just found a supplier locally where I can get it. If that doesn't do the trick, that BOV will be for sale for sure because I'm tired of blowing my end tanks apart and having to disassemble my front end to fix it.
