Meh ...I wouldn't go that far. My ancestors faced persecution when they came to this country being Irish. There were help wanted signs that said bluntly "No Micks" and they meant it as firmly as the "No Colored" signs found in the south.

They were starved by the Brits and treated like dogs for years before it finally ended and much like asians the only job they could take were either building a railroad, or walking the high line on skyscrapers which was a high risk job on both counts.

Blanket statements are generic and I understand what you meant but that statement is incorrect as it stands.
