For example, I need to add oil at about 2200-2500 miles...has anyone seen this before? I checked the oil today after the lights went on and I am very very low on oil; its been about 2000 miles since the last change. I am going to add a couple quarts til I can get it to the shop tomorrow and am hoping that the low oil is the reason the lights are on and that I haven't screwed myself....any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!!
I just bought a 98SH, with a similar problem, 91,000 miles and the check engine light came on while driving home. When I took it to my neighborhood independant mech. they informed me that the Oxy. sensor ( two in this system) on the manifold had become lazy. This sends bogus info to the computor confusing it (more fuel, less fuel etc.) that in turn makes the ATTS go into a trouble situation. Once the bad O/2 sensor was replaced the ATTS was able to be reset.
